Yvonne Joyce Dahrens

March 1, 1949 — July 26, 2016

My beloved mother Yvonne Joyce Dahrens was born March 1, 1949 in Los Angeles California to Ella B Bellinger and Charles Anthony Wynne. She was a loving grandmother, sister, auntie and niece. She has left her time on this earth to be with her lord and savior. She attended Mt. Tahoma high school in Tacoma Washington and Central Washington University and acquired her Bachelors of Arts and Language degree and teaching certificate from Western Oregon University in Monmouth Oregon, where she also met the love of her life Donald G Dahrens. They married and moved to Milwaukie, Oregon and she began her career with the Social Security Administration. Even into her retirement she worked with the United States Census Bureau as a crew leader. She was active with her daughter Monica Dahrens as an Awanas church leader. She enjoyed cooking gourmet foods, canning and baking was her specialty. She loved to crochet and was an avid seamstress inherited from her mother. Yvonne travel through Europe, the Carribean, and through the United States and cruised the Mississippi River. She loved reading and had a passion for Edger Allen Poes poems and Sherman Alexiies fine satire writing of Reservation life on the Spokane Tribe of Indians land. Yvonne was a proud member of the Spokane Tribe. She was very elegant as a hostess, and loved her family gatherings and entertaining, especially holidays and always topped them off with games. She loved the Sunday New York times crossword puzzles and took great pride when completed. Being with her daughter and granddaughters Shalie Nicole Jackson and Karina Minerva Yvonne Herrera was of the utmost importance. She leaves behind her most precious daughter Monica Marie Dahrens, and granddaughters Shalie and Karina, sisters Marcella Marie John and Angela L Wynne both of Toppenish Wa. Her favorite auntie Frances E. Robbins, nieces Charity T. John Cantu, Sarah J. John, of Toppenish and Harlan F. Masqua of Kansas, Cousins Frankie, Phyllis and Ronald Alexander and Anthony and Lillian Robbins. Along with many loving nieces and nephews who will truly miss her.
