Vera Deane Grabinski

A Graveside Service will be held Monday, August 25, 2008 at 10:30 A.M inside Gethsemani Catholic Cemetery in Portland,OR for Vera Grabinski who passed away in Milwaukie, OR on August 15, 2008 at age 87 of age related causes. Vera Deane Ware was born August 10, 1921 in Joplin, Missouri to Joseph and Lenora Ware. Vera grew up in Joplin and graduated from Joplin High School in 1939.After High School she pursued her interest in becoming a Registered Nurse. She attended Nursing school at Oregon Health and Science University, and earned her Master\u0027s Degree in Nursing at University of Illinois at Chicago College of Nursing. She married Edward L. Grabinski soon after completing her Nursing Degree. They returned to Missouri after she graduated. She worked as nurse in various care facilities and hospitals in Missouri. Vera worked as a Nurse for over 30 years, she retired in 1986. After retirement, she continued volunteering in care facilities, and always saved time to travel around the United States with her friends. One of her favorite activities was golfing in Arizona with her friends. Vera moved to Milwaukie, Oregon in 2001 to be closer to her family. Vera is lovingly survived by her 2 sons; Steve and Mark Grabinski, 4 grandchildren; Stefanie, Sean, Ian and Jacob.
