Tracey Brenneman Lucht passed away January 23, 2024, in Bend, Oregon, after a short eight day battle with cancer. She made her way to heaven, surrounded by her loving daughter, heartbroken parents, and sister.
Tracey was born to Senator/Dr. John and Janet Brenneman in Reedsport, Oregon. The family soon relocated to Newport, Oregon, where she and her younger sister, Shannon, were raised until she made her way to Oregon State University, graduating in 1988. Tracey married her college sweetheart, Mark Lucht soon after, and they both worked for Nike before Tracey left work to be a stay-at-home mother to their son, Zane, and soon after, daughter, Devan, in Molalla, Oregon.
The two later divorced, and Tracey reconnected with high school friend, Brian Smith, they lived in Sherwood, Oregon, and were together until his passing in 2016. Tracey moved back to Newport for a time and then most recently, to Redmond, Oregon, to be close to family in Bend.
Tracey's greatest joy was the birth of her first grandchild, Casey Glenn, who turned one in October of 2023.
Tracey had faced adversity in many health challenges in her too short life, but will always be remembered for her huge heart, absolute love of her friends and family and her always present fiery nature.
Tracey is survived by her parents, John and Janet Brenneman; son, Zane Lucht; daughter, Devan (Tyler) Joos; granddaughter, Casey Joos; sister, Shannon (Joe) Polen; nephews, John and Ross Polen; uncles; aunts; cousins; and countless friends.
