Timothy Eugene "Tim" Reese, 71, of Ocean Park Wa., passed away peacefully on October 06, 2016 in Portland Oregon. Tim was born October 03, 1945 in Merkel, Texas to Eugene Reese & Marie Elizabeth Lanser. He served with valor in the US Army from 1963 to 1967 during the Vietnam conflict and was a lifetime member of the VFW. Tim is survived with his loving wife, MaLiza Doria Reese, and their two children, Lesther and Guinevere. He will be missed also by his siblings Mary Sue, Cindy, Richard, and David. Private services will be held at McMenamins Edgefield on November 06, 2016. Tim graduated high school in Portland at Grover Cleveland High School. He was a hardworking, lovable, and caring person. He loved his family unconditionally. One of his hobbies was collecting coins and rocks. He loved to make fashion jewelry with precious stones he collected. He was a true patriot. This was made evident in his service during the Vietnam War and later in the Reserves. He was honorably discharged and received the National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Capaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Purple Heart, and Expert and Marksman Rifle Medals. Tim loved to travel. He visited the Philippines, where he met his wife, MaLiza. He also traveled to Thailand, Japan and Guam. When not abroad, he enjoyed discovering and traveling the USA. Even though his travels took him to mostly Asian countries, he developed a love and a passion for cooking fabulous spaghetti and other pastas! Whether it be a simple breakfast or planning a holiday feast, he was comforatble and happy working in the kitchen at home. As his health declined, Tim devoted his spare time as a voracious reader. His love of history was found within the pages of the books he so treasured. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and exchanging meaningful conversations with his friends and family on politics and history. Tim was (much to the chagrin of the Seahawk fans) an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. Sundays were reserved for the following of his favorite sports team. Tim will be missed by all who know him and would want everyone to remeber his life with fondness, humor, and a nice thought. RIP Tim......."",
