Theodore (Ted) Arthur Michel

Ted Michel, age 84, passed away after a long struggle with lung and heart disease; surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 12, 2017 in his home in Oregon City, Oregon.

Ted was born at home in Portland, Oregon on June 4, 1933 to his parents, John and Emma Michel. He joined a family of three brothers, John, Walt and Roy; and one sister, Winston.   All have preceded him in death.

Ted married Virginia Church in 1975 in Kauai, Hawaii.  He is the father of daughter, Terri Michel; sons, Scott Michel and Darren Michel; step-son, Kent Church; and grandfather to nine grandchildren.

Ted was an avid golfer who loved to be on the golf course golfing with his sons and friends.  Ted was also an active member of Tri-City Baptist Temple for more than 40 years.

Ted served in the US Army and when he returned home he worked in the transportation industry for the majority of his working life.  In 1994 he retired from Fedex Express as an account manager.
