SFC. Steven “Steve” Carl Wintrone was born November 06,1957 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin and graduated from Marshfield High School. He retired from the Army and Army National Guard as an E-7, SFC after serving our country for 28 years. He had a passion and love of football and rooted for his beloved Green Bay Packers. He also loved to play mahjong and was considered “one of the girls” by his weekly group.
Steve had a big heart, loved deeply and was loved by all around him. He was gentle, kind and truly liked by all who met him. If Webster defined words by photographs, then his photo would be listed under easy going. He was that guy.
Steve is survived by his wife of 22 years, Joanne Moss; loving children, Ashli, Drew, and Hunter; step-daughters, Amanda and Karen; and brothers, Jim and Duane of Wisconsin . He is the beloved grandfather of Hayden, Brett and Skyler.
A Cemetery Service with Full Military Honors will be 1 p.m., Thursday, December 12th at Willamette National Cemetery 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Portland, OR 97086.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Steve's memory be made to Driving the Daisies, a series whose mission is to educate the public about issues we all face as we age.
