Shirley Viola Genz Davis passed peacefully at home on August 19, 2015 with her family by her side. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Donald Davis; son, Brad Davis/Linda, daughter Susan Cazier/Russ, grandson, Brad Barnes/Jennie; sister, Joan Genz Malsom and many loving nieces and nephews including the Davis families, Genz families, Hanno families, Malsom families, and Pinder families. Shirley was born April 19, 1926 at the Sellwood General Hospital in Sellwood Oregon. As a young adult, she loved the beach where she and her future sister-in-law worked at the candy store in Seaside during WWII. Don proposed to Shirley at Seaside, and they married on November 15, 1946. Shirley was a loving mother, wife, sister and friend who loved baking Christmas cookies and candies, spending hours decorating the family Christmas tree; flower gardening, she loved the Cecile Brunner climbing rose; needlepoint and crochet; poker machines and snow-birding with Don during their retirement years.
