Samuel Leron Gulledge was born July19, 1919, in Warren, Arkansas, to Sam Gulledge and Alma Cobb. He was the eldest of 2 children, and and his sister Frances Hampton (deceased). He attended high school in Warren, AK, then joined the Navy. While in the Navy \u0026quot;Sam\u0026quot; traveled all over the world, before settling down first in Washington. There he married RoyLee (deceased), and had 3 girls, Cherrie, Kay Frances, and Betty. Sam then settled in Portland, OR, where he met and married Doris Stewart. From this union 6 children were born; Jerry, Thomas, Genell (deceased), Ricardo, Terri, and Randall (deceased). Sam worked at Western Steel as a steel chipper for many years then retired. Sam was a faithful member of Bethel A.M.E. Church for many years. He was a good man, a good philosopher, a great joke teller, and a solid family man who had a lot of love for his family and friends. He lived to be 95 years old and was very blessed and will be missed. Preceding him in death were his parents, his sister, 3 of his children, and his grandson. He leaves to celebrate his life; his wife Doris of 61 years, sisters Annette and Joyce, children Jerry, Thomas, Ricardo, Terri, Cherrie, and Betty. Grandchildren: Ashleigh, J.J., Kevin, Shameka, Jatelle, Jalacia, Kathleen, Myesha, Chelsea, Michael, Rose, Alphones, Sean, Sierra, Jamal, Jeanne, Terry, Kim, and Lucy. Great Grandchildren: Malik, Tahj, Cameron, Domonique, Davion, Kalece, Jirica, Aniyah, Demaria, Elias, Justice, Diasia, and Izabella, and his niece Danielle Jones."",
