Russell was born in Scottland, Illinois on May 7, 1927. He served during World War 11, in the Army Air Corp. He lived most of his adult life in Oregon and worked in the building construction trade; first as a hod carrier and later with his son Timothy in the home remodeling business. But his greatest accomplishments were the years spent as an Adult Leader with the Boy Scouts in Jennings Lodge, Troop 271, where he helped create lasting memories for a lot of young men from the area. To his credit, Russell helped produce \u0026quot;Eagle Scouts\u0026quot;. He is survived by three brothers: Walter S. Wimsett of Tacoma,WA; Wayne S. Wimsett of Oregon City, OR and Robert Wimsett living in Mesa Az. Two son\u0027s; David Wimsett of Leaburg, OR and Timothy Wimsett of Beavercreek, OR Daughter-in-law, Michele Wimsett. Grandchildren; Nichole and Joey Wimsett. Russell and his great stories of the past will greatly be missed. A Funeral Service will be held on Jan. 30, 2012 at 11:30 AM at Peake Funeral Chapel in Milwaukie. Graveside services to follow at Lincoln Memorial Park."",
