Rosina Fae Bliss

Rosina was born December 27, 1943, in Portland, Oregon to Clifford and Cora (neé Amack) Jones.
She met Arthur Lee Bliss at the Sellwood Theatre. They were married, December 30, 1961, at a hall in Sellwood, OR. On February 5, 1961, Art was drafted and sent to Ft. Collins, Colorado. After basic training the family moved to Ft. Bliss in El Paso, TX. In 1963, Art was transferred to California for deployment overseas to Vietnam. The family moved back to Portland, OR where Rosina worked for Pacific NW Bell Telephone.
After Art's return, they started Bliss Roofing Company which they sold to their son, Don Bliss in 1985. They then began Bliss Trucking, which specialized in oversize loads. They retired in the early 2000's.
For the first 6 years of retirement, they enjoyed travelling in their RV, following the NASCAR circuit. In the last 15 years they split their time between Las Vegas and Portland area. Rose loved spending time with her family and enjoyed going to casinos. She was very crafty, making T-Shirts for her children and grandchildren, along with quilting and making homemade cards.
Rose is survived by her children, Jan Bliss of Keizer, Debbie Bliss of Happy Valley, Don Bliss of Happy Valley, Mike Bliss of Asheville, NC, and Patrick Bliss of Milwaukie; brother, Ted Jones of Prineville; sisters, Anita of Tennessee and Patsy Byford of Prineville; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sharon; and her husband, Art in 2019.
A visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2022, followed by a 1:30 p.m. funeral service at Stehn Family Chapels Milwaukie Tribute Center, Milwaukie, OR. Private interment will be held at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, OR.
