A Graveside Service will be held Monday, June 9th,2008 inside Lincoln Memorial Park for Roberta Catherine Brown who passed away Saturday, May 31,2008 of Natural Causes. Roberta was born to Evelyn and Lewis Bain June 19, 1916 in Cambridge, Idaho. The Family moved to a ranch on the Snake River in the Spring of 1918 where they lived until September of 1922. Roberta attended first grade in Seattle, Washington. In 1923 the family moved to Nevada and in August of 1926 they arrived in the portland area where she attended Mt. Tabor Grammar School and graduated from Washington High School in June of 1934. She attended Northwestern School of Commerce before going to work at Russell-Ville Nursery Office in Portland. She was married to David D. Brown December 11,1937 at Mt.Tabor Methodist Church. They moved to the Wichita area, east of Milwaukie, where she worked in the offices of the Milwaukie Grade Schools and the Junior High School. After the family moved to Canby, she worked in the Nursery with her husband and became involved in the Federated Garden Clubs of Oregon, holding offices in the local clubs,county and state federations. She continued to work in the Gardens of Enchantment for the Blind in Sandy, Oregon. Her Husband, David, Passed away in 2000. She is lovingly survived by her 2 sons Jim and Leroy Brown. She was a grandmother to 5 and a great-grandmother to 4. Remembrances can be made to the Gardens of the Blind or to the Clackamas County 4-H Club."",
