Born and raised in Oregon, Bob joined the Army in 1933. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Bob received a battlefield commission, and enjoyed a 22 year career in the US Army. After retirement, he returned home to Oregon, where he became involved with the Shriners and most especially the Al Kader Desert Patrol. He died peacefully at his home in Milwaukie with family at his side. Bob was preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Clara and stepson, Richard and also by his second wife of 28 years, Virginia. He is survived by his daughter Shannon and a large extended family. A memorial service will be held at Peake Funeral Chapel on February 17th at 11:00 am followed by a military Honors Ceremony at Willamette National Cemetery.
