Robert John Girtle II, 67 of Seaside, Oregon passed away due to complications of cancer June 16, 2013 at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, with his dog Tucker by his side and surrounded by a circle of family and friends. Robert was born in Portland, Oregon where he lived most of his life. He was in the US Navy. He owned and operated his own floor covering business through the early 80\u0027s, and then later became involved in the Girtle family businesses of both El Toucan and Girtle\u0027s Restaurants in Seaside. He loved to golf, and to listen to good music, and had been known to occasionally take the stage late nights in the restaurant lounge to sing his own rendition of Eric Clapton\u0027s song, \u0026quot;Rock n Roll Heart\u0026quot;. Robert is survived by his wife Kathyrn, son Derek Girtle and his wife Glenna, daughter Janelle Schneider and her husband Andrew; and his grandchildren, Anna and Ethan Girtle, Karla Moeller and Luca Citroen.
