Rita Lucente was a loving wife, mom, sister, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother; she lived most of her life in New York.
She was born in Torano, Castello, Italia, in 1925. Went through the depression, WWII, and moved to New York, in 1958.
Rita went out of her way for everyone. Did the best she could to raise two daughters and two sons. A single mom when her husband, Pietro, died in 1988. She moved to Oregon in 2016.
She had many obstacles in life: hard of hearing, and in the past 7 years wheelchair bound. But she conquered all her obstacles with love and compassion, and a devout religious belief.
She is survived by two sons, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Rita Lucente, maiden name Esposito, was the last of her line. She will be greatly missed!
A Mass of Christian burial will be 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Milwaukie, Oregon. Private entombment will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley, NY.
