Raymond Thomas Thompson Jr. Raymond T. Thompson Jr,of Aloha was born September 11, 1942 to Raymond \u0026amp; Jean Thompson in Minneapolis, MN. Raymond passed away August 23, 2011 at Oregon Health Science University following a courageous third battle with cancer. He was surrounded by God and his family when he left this world. Ray moved to Oregon when he was five years old and graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1960. Ray was united in marriage to his High School Sweetheart Edeane \u0026quot;Deanie\u0026quot; Davis on September 12, 1960. They had three children but were later divorced. They remained friends for the rest of his life. Ray started his career at a lumber yard in Oak Grove in 1954. Ray retired from Parr Lumber in 2008. Having over fifty year in the Oregon lumber industry. In 1992, he survived a massive heart attack. Following that he had a heart transplant and battled and defeated cancer twice. Ray and his family felt very blessed to have gotten almost twenty extra years of life from the gift he was given by OHSU and the donating family. An organ donation gave Ray immeasurable opportunities, he would like to remind everyone that a single donor can save up to eight lives. Please register to be a donor. In the end Ray was able to give something of himself back to the program that gave his so much. Ray enjoyed family gatherings, golfing, playing the slots, and fast cars. Recently he traveled to Reno, Mexico, and the Caribbean with his children. He was a proud American, and member of The Son\u0027s of Norway. If you were lucky enough to meet him you would never forget him. Ray was preceded in death by his brother Al Thompson. Ray is survived by his three children, Dora \u0026quot;Dori\u0026quot; \u0026amp; Mike Abernathy of Vancouver, William \u0026amp; Michelle Thompson, Carl \u0026amp; Feather Thompson all of Milwaukie his sister Gloria \u0026amp; Chuck Barber of Vancouver, sister in law Delilah Thompson of Gresham along with 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a new great grandchild on the way. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins he leaves an inestimable amount of friends whom he considered family. I lieu of flowers the family suggests that remembrances be made to the Organ Transplant Program at OHSU. A celebration of life will take place Sept 10th, 2011 at 5pm at the Scottish Rite 709 Southwest 15th Avenue Portland, OR 97205. All who knew Ray are encouraged to attend."",
