Phyllis was born in Salem Oregon , and moved to Portland in her youth. She met Richard and fell in love, they were married and had 4 children, Steven, Thomas, Susan, and David.
Phyllis enjoyed travel, baking and made the best apple pie you ever tasted, gardening, fashion and most importantly her family and friends. She had a great love for music and dancing. She loved animals and they naturally loved her, she always had a pet by her side.
Richard and Phyllis loved to travel and made many trips to Cabo San Lucas, the East Coast to visit lifelong friends and to Italy. She was a constant companion to her husband and spent many years camping, fishing, or whatever adventure came their way. She loved to shop and was always impeccably dressed.
She will be remembered most as being a great mother and friend. She had incredible sense of humor, and loved to laugh. She enjoyed being with her family and her warm spirit made her irresistible to love. She will be remembered most for her love, laughter and gentle kindness.
She is survived by her sons, Steve, Tom, and David; daughter, Sue Utter; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard.
