Pearl Violet Kallioinen

Pearl was born in Sturgis, SD to Ferdinand and Frieda Weisgram. She died at the age of 82, following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Pearl was dedicated to her family and her church. She was a fabulous cook and baker, loved to knit and crochet, and garden. She was a member of Milwaukie Bowl, enjoyed singing in the choir at Milwaukie Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Choral Association. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Arno Kallioinen. She is survived by her sister, Myrtle Wilson; son, Jerry Kallioinen; daughters, Sherry Angel Konkol and husband, Dr. Richard and Lisa Tyack and husband, Dr. James; and grandchildren, Guy, Chris, Marc and Justin. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute Ovarian Cancer Research, 1121 S.W. Salmon Street, Suite 100 Portland, OR 97205-2021. A Celebration of Pearl's Life will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Milwaukie Lutheran Church.
