Pearl Fox, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2024, at the age of 94. Born in Portland, OR on March 5, 1930, Pearl was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Nangie Juchemich. Pearl had 3 siblings: Joe, Rosie, and Katie. She spent her formative years in Milwaukie, OR, where she graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1948. Growing up, Pearl enjoyed roller skating at Oaks Park.
Pearl's life was marked by love, laughter, and boundless devotion to her family. She met the love of her life, John Fox, while working at a local restaurant, and on October 8, 1949, they began their beautiful journey together in marriage. Together, they built a warm and nurturing home in Milwaukie, OR, where they raised their three children, John, Julie, and Jay.
Pearl's dedication extended beyond her role as a homemaker. She supported her husband in his automotive supply business, serving as clerk, bookkeeper, and inventory assistant, all while ensuring her children were well-cared for. Pearl was known for her infectious laugh and unwavering positivity, brightening the lives of all who knew her. She delighted her family with delicious meals, including her famous Sunday roast dinners, beef noodles, hamburger stew, fondue, and red Carmel apples. Her culinary creations were a testament to her love and care for her family, ensuring that every meal was a memorable experience.
In their leisure time, Pearl and John enjoyed ballroom dancing which sometimes involved dance competitions. Additionally, Pearl and John loved going on family outings to the beach, camping trips, and later in life, summer trips to Black Butte Ranch where they often golfed. Their shared passion for golfing led to countless memorable moments on the greens, where they found joy in each other's company. When not at the golf course, they practiced chipping in the back yard.
After John's passing in 2010, Pearl found solace in the companionship of her beloved miniature schnauzer, Rilie. Together, they shared cherished moments and brought comfort to each other's lives.
Pearl's legacy of love and resilience will forever live on in the hearts of the surviving members of her family: three children, John, Julie, and Jay; several grandchildren, Brady, Betsy, Keaton, Dawson, Jaery, Tony, and Joy; three great-grandchildren, Camryn, James and Olivia; and two sisters, Rosie and Katie.
