Gone to soon- after a brief battle with Breast Cancer, Paula Marie (St. Pierre, Rudd) Barbeau passed away with her family at her side on January 15th, 2018 at the age of 71.
Paula grew up in Victoria, Canada, before moving to Milwaukie, Oregon with her parents and four siblings at the age of six. Paula was the oldest of the St. Pierre children and learned at an early age how to care for and serve her family and friends. She was a graduate of Milwaukie High School and grew up in a neighborhood that was considered family. Many days were spent in their backyard pool and many evenings with backyard BBQs, a time she treasured and had fond memories of.
Paula's servant heart lead her into a career of facilities, sales and human resources. In her retirement she spent many hours volunteering at the hospital gift shop and working in the teaching kitchen helping others learn how to cook a healthy meal.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Michael Barbeau; daughter, Lisa Meyer (David), of Seattle, Washington; son, Gary Rudd (Karen) of Kenosha, Wisconsin; step-children, Jacob, Nathan and Alysha Barbeau; grandchildren, Hailey, Joshua and Andrew Meyer, Tobias, Gabriel and Moriah Rudd, Erika, Collin , Grace, Caden, Violet and Lily; brothers, Mark (Jackie), Ken and Neil (Yoshiko); and many nephews and nieces whom she loved.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Rudd; parents, Frank and Mary St.Pierre; step-mother, Millie St. Pierre; and sister, Nancy Skoien.
