Paul Edwin Voeller

July 26, 1931 — September 27, 2019

Paul Edwin Voeller, beloved husband of 56 years, loving father to four children and grandfather to seven children passed away peacefully on September 27, 2019.  A devout Catholic and life-long Oregonian.



Paul was born July 26, 1931 to Michael H. and Philena B. (Cooper) Voeller in Portland, Oregon.  His parents and his beloved sister, Marilyn Voeller, preceded him in death.   He was baptized at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Roseburg, Oregon.  He attended Gregory Heights, Benson Polytechnic High School (class of 1949), Portland State College and University of Portland where he earned his master's degree in education.  He proudly served in the U.S. Coastguard from 1951-1954 during the Korean War, honorably discharged as Radioman Third Class. He married Sharon L. Reiss on August 17, 1963 at St. Mary's Cathedral in Portland, Oregon.



He is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Diane (Tom Albanese) Voeller, Susan V. (Tim) Davis, Jon (Denise) Voeller and Greg (Amy) Voeller; and grandchildren, Antonio and Marco Albanese, Dallen, Evan and Chloe Voeller, Ethan Davis and Matthew Voeller.

Paul loved motivating and educating children and was a dedicated and often favored teacher for thirty-two years in North Clackamas and Portland School Districts, retiring in 1996.  He taught hundreds of North Clackamas youth to drive as a Driver Education Teacher during the summers. With his beloved wife Sharon, he watched and cheered at thousands of his children's and grandchildren's activities and events over the years. He had a passion for genealogy and is a life member of the Germans from Russian society.  During his final years, Paul courageously persevered though affects from Parkinson's disease and dementia.
