Patricia (McHugh) Zumwalt died peacefully November 17th surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with cancer. Born in Oregon City, the family moved to Portland, where she was raised and attended St. Agatha's Church in Sellwood and graduated from St. Mary's. After graduation, she worked for the Oregonian and PGE in customer service for many years, and after the children moved on, worked for the Mill Ends Store. She married Ed in 1957, and they settled in Milwaukie, where she had six children: Nancy Wittig (Dirk), Bill (Jan), Dan, Donna Cooper (Joe), Jim (Shay) and John and was blessed by seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She is also survived by three brothers, Bob, Don and Phil and many nieces and nephews. Wife, mom, grandma, referee (with six kids, what else?), seamstress, crocheter, baker, sports fan, gardener (I wish I had Dad's green thumb!), our glue and leader. We will miss her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to Providence Cancer Research, Robert W. Franz Cancer Research Center.
