Patricia Marie Currin 91, of Aberdeen South Dakota, passed away September 19, 2014 in Oregon City, Oregon. Patricia Marie Pitz was born March 18, 1923 in Aberdeen, South Dakota, the second child of Cecelia (Heinz) Pitz and Edward Pitz. She went to grade school in a one room country grade school in Richland Township, Edmunds County south of Mina. She attended Mina High School and graduated in 1940. During the years she worked in the Civil Service in the Naval Air Station in Norfolk, Virginia. After the war she worked for Benson Optical in Aberdeen, and then traveled to Portland, Oregon with her two cousins. She met Willard Currin at a softball game. They married November 6, 1948 in Portland, Oregon. They had two children, John Edward Born October 27, 1949 and Kathleen Mary Born June 19, 1952. They bought their first home in SE Portland where they raised their two children. Patricia was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, loved the beach and functions at the Elks club. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Pitz and Celia Heinz of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and the love of her life, her late husband of 46 years, Willard E. Currin of Clarkston Washington and Granddaughter, Rhiannon Currin of Milwaukie, Oregon died February 16, 1977. Patricia is survived by her sister Ilene Yeoman of Aberdeen, South Dakota; Son John Currin \u0026amp; Wife Jackie Currin of Milwaukie Oregon, Daughter Kathi Pingo (Kate) \u0026amp; Husband Greg Pingo of Oregon City. Grandsons Zack Pingo \u0026amp; Wife Tasha Pingo of Oregon City; Matt Pingo of Molalla, Oregon; Shawn Currin \u0026amp; Wife Carrie Currin of Milwaukie Oregon; Nick Currin of Milwaukie, Oregon. Great Grandson Damian Pingo of Molalla, Oregon; Great Granddaughters Izsabella Pingo \u0026amp; Micaela Pingo of Oregon City, Oregon and Avery Currin of Milwaukie, Oregon.
