Norma A. Magill

Norma A. Magill, 62, of Oregon City, Oregon, passed away peacefully Saturday morning. She was born to the late Jorge Astillero and Fernanda Astillero in Pagadian, Mindinao, Philippines on November 15th, 1950. Norma originally worked as a teacher in The Philippines, she was widowed at the age of 30 and took a job at a logging company in Malaysia to support her four children. Five years later while working for the logging company she took a phone call from Kenneth Magill of Milwaukie Oregon. This call led to them exchanging letters and they married a year later. Norma then moved to Oregon at the age of 36. Norma worked at a variety of jobs in the area, the last was at Red White and Blue Thrift store where she was employed for nearly 20 years. Norma enjoyed flowers and gardening, the landscaping around her home was filled with many varieties of beautiful flowers. She also took great pride in decorating her home. She was also a loyal Trailblazer fan, Norma and Ken were season ticket holders for many years. Norma also collected angel figurines, this theme was continued in the names of her five grandchildren, Kenne Angel, Angeleth, Angelor, Noreth Angelyn and Angelo. Norma was proceeded in death by her husband Kenneth who passed away in 2007. She is survived by her son Dennis and her daughters Daryl and Joycee, grandchildren Kenne Angel, Angeleth, Angelor, Noreth Angelyn and Angelo. She is also survived by an older brother and three younger sisters."",
