Husband. Father. Brother. Soundman for Whispering Roses.
Noel Raymond Bisceglia was born July 21st, 1945 to Ralph and Margaret Bisceglia. He was sixth of nine children. Noel attended St. John the Baptist for the elementary grades, and Central Catholic High School. In 1966 he enlisted in the army and spent the majority of his deployment as a clerk in Germany. He fondly remembered his time there going to the local pubs and learning to speak German. After an honorable discharge, Noel attended Clackamas Community College and returned to his favorite sport - water skiing. He met his wife, Carol Conrades, on the river and they were married March 31st, 1984. Noel and Carol came to know Jesus Christ while dating. The course of their lives together changed direction dramatically after their decision to follow Jesus. Noel was not a traditionalist, he was a truth-seeker and everyone could count on hearing some unusual angle on a topic when talking with him.
Noel and Carol had five children and Noel was instrumental in the decision to homeschool and focus on music. Noel passed on his love of outdoor activities to the family and taught them all how to swim in the Clackamas River and took them hiking and cross-country skiing regularly. Noel helped manage the physical therapy clinic, but his most cherished vision was of a family band. He got the children started playing in retirement homes and constantly pushed them on to bigger venues and more opportunities. Noel was Whispering Roses' soundman and biggest fan.
Noel was an inspiration to many as he kept himself fit and active into his 70's. He loved running and downhill skiing. Noel unexpectedly collapsed from heart failure while jogging and died on the Trolley Trail September 21st, 2017. He is remembered with love by his wife, Carol; children, Sarah, Janna (Engell), Krista, Kathrina (Leavitt) and Noah; his granddaughter, Shellia; and his siblings, Stephanie, Mike, Diane, Kathleen, Joseph, Maureen, Jeanette and Bill.
We ask that any donations be sent to Abuse Recovery Ministry and Services (ARMS). Noel supported their ministry and was proud that Whispering Roses played for two of their banquets.
