In Loving Memory of Life Well Lived
Nellie Delores Alexander-Reinsch was born on June 26, 1938, and peacefully passed on December 30, 2022, after a short-lived battle with pancreatic cancer. She was gracefully greeted in Heaven by her mother and father, Mary Rose and Pete Hiley, along with her two sons and one brother. She will be remembered by many for her immense heart that was made of pure gold, her hugs that you could feel all the way to your soul and her magical prayers that made one's worries go away just by listening to the sound of her peaceful voice.
Nellie is survived by three sisters and one brother, four children (Sandi Lanier, Cindie Smith, Kevin LaChance, and Susie LaChance), along with 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, all whom she loved dearly.
Nellie was a devoted Catholic who started every day off with her loving strength in her faith and her Father in Heaven. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, and knitting. Nellie had quite the green thumb for plants and her garden that she loved to share with those around her. To say she will be missed is an extreme understatement. She impacted our lives more than she ever knew. However, she is now flying high as an angel, and doing exactly what she always wanted to do, watching over ALL of her loved ones and making her rounds. Nellie had a deep, deep love for her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She was our queen and has now been promoted to our guardian angel.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life in the Spring of 2023 to honor her memory and gather together, just as she would have wanted. If anyone would like to make donations on Nellie's behalf, you can make those in her name to the Lustgarten Foundation of Pancreatic Cancer Research:
