Molly Dott Lippert lived a long and successful life and peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on November 11, 2015. Molly Dott was born on August 21, 1913, in San Antonio, Texas, to Ezra and Rhuebell Steinmetz. The family moved to Oregon when she was one year old. She grew up on a small farm near Chitwood, between Corvallis and Newport, on the Yaquina River. She graduated from Toledo High School and began working in the local bank until the effects of the depression forced it to close. She moved to Portland and worked as a secretary at Clyde Equipment Company. She married Rudy Lippert in 1932, and they lived along the central Oregon coast until moving to Milwaukie in 1943, where Rudy worked as a log buyer for Publisher's Paper Company in Oregon City. They were both active in various Masonic organizations. Molly Dott was Grand Secretary Emeritus with the Grand Chapter of Oregon, Order of the Eastern Star, as well as a member of the Daughters of the Nile. In 2015 she attended the Toledo High School all-class reunion where she was honored as its oldest graduate.
Molly Dott is survived by her son, Rodney (Carol Addison), daughter, Lynn (Sal Jepson), grandsons, David, and Dan Lippert, (Angelique Brown). She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Otto (1970), and oldest son, Rudolph Huntley (2011).
