Mildred Ann Simonson

Mildred Ann Simonson June 23, 1923 - May 22, 2016 Mildred passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon. Mildred Gee was born in Portland, Oregon. She grew up in northeast Portland and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1941. In 1943 she married William Simonson at Camp Abbot in Deschutes County. In 1946 Bill and Mildred purchased a home in southeast Portland. Mildred was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Mildred lived in her house on Washington Street for over 60 years before moving on to several senior living facilities. Her greatest joy was her family and especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband William and is survived by son Steve (Bonnie), daughter Ann (Randy) and their families. These include five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mildred\u0027s memorial service and reception will be held on Saturday, May 28, at 2 pm at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice."",
