Michael L. Smith of Gladstone died Saturday, March 16, 2019.\u0026nbsp; He was born in Salem, Oregon, September 3, 1945 to Leon and Bernetta Smith.\u0026nbsp; His sister is Judy Petersen of Keizer. Michael served in the US Army during the Vietnam war.\u0026nbsp; He started his career at Pacific Metal Company and opened his own business, Formco Machinery, in 1981. He married his wife, Judy, in December of 1969 and together they raised two children, Jason and Joelle.\u0026nbsp; Mike loved traveling with his wife and watching his four grandchildren play sports.
