Mark David Wetherald

Mark David Wetherald was born November 6th, 1951 to Milt \u0026amp; Jan Wetherald. Growing up, Mark and his identical twin brother Michael played baseball together and both played the Trumpet. Mark graduated from Oregon City High School in May of 1969. In December of 1969, he enlisted with the Navy where he would spend the next 23 years serving his country as a Submariner on 7 different submarines achieving the rank of E8. It was during his time with the Navy that he met his future wife Gloria Ashford and would marry in August of 1973. In the years following their marriage, their hobbies included traveling the country, enjoying the different food and cultures, and scuba diving and sailing in Hawaii. They had 3 children: Bennett (1981), Brian (1982), and David (1988) and somewhere there in the middle became the owner of a local donut shop. In 1993, after almost 20 years of marriage, Mark and Gloria separated but remained good friends until the end. Mark eventually moved back to Milwaukie, OR in 1997. After his return, he and his brother Michael enjoyed fishing on the ocean. He enjoyed the culinary world both as a consumer of fine food and creating even better food. He had a variety of jobs which ultimately lead him to becoming a supervisor for Blount. He worked for Blount for 8 years as a manufacturing technician and supervisor. Mark is survived by his three sons Bennett, Brian, and David; Mother Jan; Brother Michael, and two grandchildren Brady and Brooklyn."",
