June 25, 1951 — August 28, 2011

Marilyn Kay Goode Marilyn Kay Goode, age 60, passed away August 28, 2011 at Providence Hospital in Portland, OR after a short term illness. Marilyn did not give up leaving us without a fight. Marilyn Kay was born on June 25, 1951 to George Goode and Darlene Michel Goode in Sioux Falls, SD. The family moved to California, before deciding to relocate to Oregon in the 1960's, to be closer to her father's family. Marilyn attended St. John the Baptist School and then attended and graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1969. After high school, she studied at Clackamas Community College. Marilyn obtained her real estate license early in her career, and spent time working with her father. Throughout her life, Marilyn also spent time working for US Bank, PGE, Fred Meyer, and most recently in the Lift Mobility office at Tri-Met, lending her talents wherever she went. Outside of work, Marilyn enjoyed going to church at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, in Milwaukie and occasionally enjoyed going with her family to The Grotto. She was fond of the family gatherings for all occasions at her parents' house. Marilyn was a huge Blazers fan, enjoying buying season and playoff tickets to share with her family and friends. Spending time at the golf course was another favorite past time, along with shopping, especially when looking for shoes and purses. She enjoyed the music of The Eagles, and made it to a few of their concerts, here in Portland. Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, George Goode, who passed away in 1998, and her sister Barbara Dietz, who passed away in 2009. Marilyn is survived by her mother, Darlene Goode, of Milwaukie; her sister Kelley Stickler and husband Stuart, of Milwaukie; her two nieces, Shawna Dietz and Nicole Stickler; her two nephews, Jason Dietz and Tyler Stickler; her grand-nephew Darian Crawford and grand-niece Moira Dietz; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family has asked that contributions be made out to the ASPCA in order to help with animal rights, a cause that was near and dear to Marilyn's heart. Marilyn is also survived by her cats, Tigger and Bandon and her bunny, Simba, also referred to as "her boys". A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 6th at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Milwaukie with Reverend Maxy D'Costa as the Celebrant. The family invites you to a reception following in the church parish center."",
