Marilyn Ermini was born on April 21, 1935 to Irene and Alvin Freeman. Marilyn passed away peacefully on January 16, 2021, surrounded by friends and family.
She was born in Egerton, North Dakota and moved to Portland, Oregon; where she met and married George Ermini, to whom she was married to for nearly 60 years until his death in 2012. Marilyn worked for many years at Furbish Chemical Supply Company as an office manager and bookkeeper.
After retiring, Marilyn enjoyed traveling to the Oregon coast and many other destinations with her family and friends. Marilyn was an excellent cook who loved entertaining. She would cook all the family's favorite dishes for all different occasions. She had a great sense of humor and a wonderful laugh. She loved watching her grandchildren play in sporting events and was a lifelong Oregon Duck fan.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, George; son, Thomas; grandson, Vincent; brother, Bertram; sister, Carmelle; and both her parents. She is survived by her son, Larry (Cindy); sisters, Carole, Candace, and Colleen; brother, Wayne; three grandchildren, Stacy (Nick), Cameron, and Chez (Kristina); and four great-grandchildren, Mason, Maddox, Chezrae and Payton. Marilyn had "numerous" other family members she loved in addition to the immediate family members named.
We thank Marilyn's care providers and hospice for their kindness and service. A very special thank you to Marilyn's lifelong friend, Carolyn Dressler, who has always been there for her whenever she needed her.
At Marilyn's request, no services are planned. Marilyn will be buried with her husband George at Willamette National Cemetery.
In lieu of sending flowers, please make a contribution to The Humane Society (see below) in her memory.
Marilyn will be missed by all who knew and loved her, but she will remain forever in our hearts and in our memories.
