Marie Fhelma Johnson (Trotti), age 97 of Milwaukie, OR passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday May 12 while residing at Miramont Pointe retirement home. Marie was born on February 23, 1923 in Portland Oregon to Tony and Rose Trotti. She graduated from Franklin High School and married Richard L. Johnson in 1947, whom she met at a dance at Oaks Park. They were married for 63 years. They have two children, Richard L. Johnson Jr. and Susan A. Llewellyn, four grandchildren David, Jennifer, Christina and Jacqueline, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her parents, husband, brother Joe, and sister Lena. During Richard\u0027s working years, they lived in Milwaukie, Eugene, Seattle and back to Portland to retire. She was a homemaker during this time and worked for a short time for the Deringer\u0027s store as bookkeeper. Marie enjoyed traveling after Richard\u0027s retirement from Pacific Northwest Bell and spent time with her husband in Europe and traveling throughout the states. They moved to Summer Place retirement area in NE Portland in 1994 and lived there for 23 years. She enjoyed their property in Palm Springs in the winter. She also enjoyed tending to her many plants and garden. She was an excellent seamstress, cook and hostess. Marie took a painting class in the 70\u0027s and thus began her passion for painting. Over time she became an extraordinary oil painter. She loved to dance! Ballroom, County Western, Line Dance, and Jitterbug. She and Richard would dance every week, either at the Elks, their community center or at parties. She was a wonderful mom, loving wife, cherished grandma. She will be greatly missed."",
