Marie Josephine Duncan

Marie J Duncan passed away at age 99. A native of Portland, Marie married Edwin T (Happy) Duncan in 1941. She worked at Pacific Telephone and Smith\u0027s Home Furnishings. Happy and Marie founded the Happy Twirlers Square Dance club and were also active in the Gresham Elks. Marie is survived by her children: Dianne Gardner (Palm Springs), Jim and Jean Duncan (Portland), one grandson, Shawn Gardner, and two great-grandsons, Shawn A. and Ryan. A celebration of life will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 in the chapel of St. Andrews, 7617 SE Main, with a reception following. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Providence Portland Medical Foundation in support of the Hospice Fund and Music Thanatology Fund.
