Margaret Louise Malmgren

July 7, 1926 — October 31, 2016

Long time Portland resident, Margaret Malmgren, passed peacefully on October 31, 2016. . She was born on July 7, 1926 in Klickitat, Washington, to Julia and Herman Wickman. She moved to Portland after high school and began her working at Pacific Maritime Association, where she spent her entire career. She married Robert Malmgren in 1955. Marge and Bob loved to travel and socialize, which Marge continued to do after Bob's death in 1992. Marge was an avid bowler. Aside from league bowling with so many friends, they also traveled throughout the United States participating in bowling tournaments. She also traveled widely through Europe and Spain with friends. Marge was a faithful member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church from which she had a multitude of friends as well. She was the last of seven siblings, and survived by numerous nephews and nieces. The family wishes to thank the Holy Cross Lutheran church for their support and fellowship during Marge's living in two wonderful care facilities. The friends and family's visits, calls and cards were very important to her, especially during the time she was not able to be in her home. We would also like to thank those at the two facilities Marge lived at the end of her life for their excellent and compassionate care.. Any remembrances may be made to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 8705 E. Burnside Rd, Portland, OR, 97233."",
