Margaret Ann ""Margie"" Cruickshank

Margaret (Margie) Ann Cruickshank, age 52, of Happy Valley, Oregon, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 24, 2015, from ailments brought on by Ovarian Cancer. Margie was born in Portland, Oregon on January 30, 1963. She married Scott Cruickshank on March 13, 1982, and they both considered each other the love of their lives. It wasn\u0027t long before they had their two adored children, Kathryn and John. Margie was a courageous woman with a soft and humble persona. She was a devoted wife, nurturing mother and grandmother, and trusted friend. She achieved a successful 25 year career with Safeway Stores as a Maintenance Representative where she developed many lasting friendships that she cherished. She was a gifted cook and enjoyed preparing gourmet meals for her family and friends. She enjoyed running marathons, reading and spending time with her loved ones. She regularly volunteered her time to serve others, especially those in need, or less fortunate. Margie is survived by her husband, Scott, two children, Kathryn Cruickshank Butler (Dane) and John Cruickshank (Mallory), Grandson, Graham Butler, Mother, Margaret (Jo) Cromwell, Stepfather, Sam Cromwell, Stepmother Darla Madigan, brothers, David Madigan and Gregory (Trampus) Cromwell, sisters, Beth Leslie and Samantha Cromwell and her loyal dog, Henry. Margie is preceded in death by her Father, John Madigan. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 5, at 2 pm, at St John the Baptist Catholic Church located at 10955 SE 25th Ave, Milwaukie, OR 97222. The family of Margie Cruickshank wishes to thank all of her family, friends and medical caregivers who loved and supported her throughout her courageous fight with ovarian cancer.
