Mae Frances Fleming, a resident of Milwaukie, died May 17, 2024. She was 91.
Mae was born February 17, 1933, in Russellville, Kentucky, to Eugene R. and Nannie E. Pursley. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Payson “Jim” Fleming, January 28, 1950, in Russellville. They raised three children and celebrated almost 61 years together, until Jim’s death in 2010.
Jim and Mae owned and operated Clackamas Gold & Silver for 33 years. She and Jim travelled to some fun places, including Hawaii and Mexico. She also enjoyed boating.
Mae is survived by her children, Michael Fleming and wife, Christine and Charlene Polhamus and husband, Daniel; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; and son, Patrick Fleming.
A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Peake & Stehn Funeral Chapel, 2906 SE Harrison St. Milwaukie OR 97222, followed by a cemetery service, 1:30 p.m. at Willamette National Cemetery.
