Mabel Edith Ekstrom

Mabel was born January 10, 1918 in Johnston City, Illinois to Prudente and Minnie Regge. At age 8 the family moved to Rock Island, Illinois where she graduated from Rock Island HS in 1936. In 1938 she married Leonard Ekstrom and in 1957 the family moved to California then to Portland, Oregon in 1963.
She was a housewife for most of her life and devoted many hours to Christ The King Church; leading the church cleaners every Friday morning for over 30 years and participating in all Altar Society events. She loved her home and greeted everyone with her beautiful smile.
Mabel is survived by her son, Jerry Ekstrom. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard in 1970.
