Louise Esther (Parks) Hargens passed away peacefully on July 23, 2015 at the age of 83. Louise was born Jan. 19, 1932 in Bremerton, WA to Mary (Eickworth) Parks and Clyde Parks. Louise graduated from North Bend High School in 1950. On June 29, 1951 she married Robert Hargens and they had 5 boys - Randy, Dan, Clyde, Jeff and Mike. From 1950 to 1980, Louise spent much of her life in Coos Bay, OR raising 5 boys. She was actively involved in school functions, teaching cake decorating and working for Payless Drug. In 1980, Louise moved to the Gladstone and Milwaukie, OR area, where she lived the rest of her life. In Milwaukie, she spent the majority of her time involved with painting, Master Gardening, neighborhood get-togethers with those on the cul-de-sac, attending her grandson's and granddaughter's soccer, basketball and baseball events, listening to Mariner baseball, rooting on Oregon State baseball and the constant never-ending support of family and friends. Louise always approached a strenuous situation with a smile and a positive outlook. Things were never bad - they were just "not as good as yesterday" or "it's ok". No matter how serious, she always seemed to have a positive attitude. Louise was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Parks, mother Mary Arlitt and step father Buzz Arlitt. She is survived by her 5 sons, Randy (of Lake Oswego, OR), Dan (of Spokane, WA) , Clyde (of Spokane, WA), Jeff (of Corbett, OR) and Mike (of Milwaukie, OR), 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In lieu of a memorial service, Louise desired a picnic. A picnic is planned for Sunday, Aug. 23rd 2:00 p.m. at Jeff Hargens, 43180 SE Deverell Rd, Corbett, OR 97019. Please RSVP to
