Leon Corder passed away peacefully from natural causes on March 20, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. He was 83 years old.
Lee was born January 31, 1938 in Merced County, California to a share cropping family. The family moved to Texas before finally settling in Newberg, Oregon. He graduated from Newberg High School and served in the National Guard. On May 6, 1961, he married Eleanor Gardiner. They had three children.
Lee owned and operated a rental business and three service stations in the Portland area. For the last 30 years of his professional life, he sold conveyor belts for Empire Rubber. During his retirement, he loved camping, classic cars and spending time with family. He was witty and fond of favorite sayings; like, "Happy Motoring".
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; sister, Lawanda; sons, David and Robert; step-son, Marc; and six grandchildren. Leon was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda.
A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Stehn Family Chapels Milwaukie Tribute Center, (please use the RSVP below to make a reservation for the service), followed by interment at Valley View Memorial Park, Newberg, Oregon.
