Lawrence (Larry) was a loving husband, a caring father and a good friend to many people. He will be missed by all who knew him. Sensitive to his surroundings, he captured the nuances and shared the humor of seemingly ordinary events. Some people said he could have been a great stand-up comedian. He had a real gift.
He married his first wife, Rachelle, in 1975 and had two daughters. They later divorced. Then in September of 1992 he married Patricia Quinn and was with her at the time of his death.
Larry worked as a contractor for many years and took pride in his work specializing in window and door replacements. He gained many referrals and enjoyed pleasing his customers. He also performed repairs for home sales to assist sellers providing a service to brokers in the Portland Metro area. Larry was always anxious to lend a hand. His ill health forced him to retire in 2003.
Always a StarTrek fan, his interests also included animals especially dogs, rocks, plants and giving back to the community. He was a genuine non-comformist and a non-materialist man who honestly enjoyed a simple life.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Kristine Faletoi of Damascus, Michelle Chin of Gresham; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his sister Genevieve Harder of Woodland, WA; 4 half brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
