Laura Ann Krahn passed away peacefully at home April 22nd on her 60th birthday after battling an aggressive form of cancer for two years. She was surrounded by loving family who visited her every day along with her husband, sons and best friend taking care of her as she prepared for her homecoming.
Laura was born in Vancouver, WA to Mildred and Wesley Clark. She graduated from Madison High School in 1977 and then went on to study at PCC, ultimately obtaining a degree in business from Portland State University. She started her career as a data analyst at US Bank before moving on to work for Multnomah County. On February 25th, 1995 Laura married the love of her life, Timothy, at The Grotto. She was a spiritual person, growing up in the family church, and converting to Catholicism before marrying Tim. A year after their marriage she gave birth to her son, Clark and two years after that she had her second son, Max.
Wherever Laura went she brought happiness and kindness with her. Whether it was at work, home or traveling, she always made sure that those around her knew that they were loved. She brightened the lives of many. Her favorite things were having lunch at The Original Taco House with her friends, the family cabin at Lincoln City, digging her feet in the sand of Hawaii with Tim and taking her boys to Disneyland almost every year. The fond memories of Laura that her loved ones keep are of times simply being in her presence. Laura loved hosting many birthdays and holidays at her beautiful home. She made sure whenever she got people together that everything was prepared and perfect for those she cared about.
She was a loving wife, a joyful sister, a devoted daughter, a caring mother, a pillar to the community and a loyal friend.
She is survived by her husband, Tim; sons, Clark and Max; brother, Brad Clark (Karen); nieces, Erica, Ashley and Lindsey; and numerous loving family and friends.
