Kenneth Allen Chase 1929- 2010 Kenneth Allen Chase was born October 5, 1929 in Russell, Iowa to the late Robert Friend and Stella Horner Chase. He was raised and educated in Iowa where he graduated from Russell High School. Following his education he joined the US Army where he served for several years. After his discharge he returned home to marry Betty Troxel on July 29, 1949 in Hamberg, Iowa at the home of the local minister. Together they celebrated sixty-one years of life together and raised 4 children. Ken moved around a bit and settled in Oregon in August of 1968. He worked for Tri-Met for over 30 years and moved up into a manager position. He also had an excellent driving record. Among his personal interests he enjoyed golfing and fishing. His true hobby was trees. He loved to cut them down and cut up fire wood for the house. He cut down his trees on his property as well as hauling in trees to cut up in the front yard. He actually cut one down a couple weeks ago. .. Alonewith his chain saw.. much to the dislike of his loving wife who had her eye on him the entire time! He is survived by his wife Betty, three daughters, Trudy and husband Rick, Patricia and Rick, Lind and Chris, son Allen and Kay Lyn Chase, 8 grand children and 7 great grand children."",
