Kathleen Helen was born in Velva, N. Dakota to Walter & Helen Kramer on March 28, 1935. She attended college in Jamestown, N. Dakota where she learned to Teach. After college she moved to Greybull, Wyoming and taught for 1 year, then moved to Cottage Grove, Oregon with a friend. In Cottage Grove is where she met Champ Husted, they were married on March 17, 1957.
Champ and Kathleen moved to Milwaukie in June of 1957. Kathleen volunteered for Meals on Wheels, was a past Officer for her PEO Chapter and enjoyed traveling with family and friends; especially to the beach and her trips to Africa and Ireland. She loved music, above all listening to Tony Bennett and in the 1970's singing with a music group The Sophisticates. Kathleen loved her family and grandchildren more than anything; she was a great homemaker and made it a point to always be dressed fittingly.
Kathleen is survived by her husband of 60 years, Champ Husted; daughter, Terri Moen and husband, Tom of Oregon City; sons, David Husted and wife, Michelle and Steve Husted both of Milwaukie; brother, Mike Kramer of Minot, N. Dakota; sister, Ann Swedlund of Bismarck, N. Dakota; and grandchildren, Corey and Chelsea.
