Kandi Lynn Steinman, 38, a life long resident of the Milwaukie community died Friday morning, June 17, 2011 at her mothers home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Peake Funeral Chapel, 1925 SE Scott Street, Milwuakie, Oregon with Pastor Mark Mathis of Milwaukie Covenant Church and Cindy Hinton as celebrant. The family requests that everyone dress causual and participate in a potluck bbq reception immediately following the services in the outdoor reception area at the Peake Chapel. Private Cremation Rites have been held. Kandi Lynn Wells was born October 23, 1972 in Milwaukie, Oregon to the late Larry G. Wells and Kathlene Mae Teske Wells. She was raised and educated in Milwaukie, graduating from Milwaukie High School in 1990. Kandi was united in marriage to Jamie Steinman on December 30, 1994 in Beaverton, OR. Together they had three children. Over the years Kandi worked in several local businesses. Most recently she worked as a loan officer at the credit union. In the past she had attended the New Beginings Church. Kandi enjoyed the outdoors, going hiking and camping. She loved to cook and was always trying some new recipe that she had found. She liked to prepare meals for her family and friends. She enjoyed playing with her children and her chocolate lab, Bailey. Kandi liked to listen to rock music and trips to the beach. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry in 2000. Survivors include her husband, Jamie, three children; Dakota, Jewels, and Jayde Steinman, her mother, Kathlene Wells, two brothers and a sister in law; James Robert and Tracy Wells, of Gresham, Johnathan Wells of Milwaukie, maternal grandfather, Melvin Teske, and paternal grandfather, Curtis Wells. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to assist the family with funeral expenses.
