K. Linda Stickney, 74, a resident of the Milwaukie community died Tuesday, April 19th, 2011 at her residence of natural causes. Private Cremation Rites have been held and Memorial Services are pending. K. was born April 18, 1937 in Oakland, California to Peter E. and Anona L. Fisch Mortensen. The family moved to Milwaukie. K. was was raised and educated here having graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1955. K. was united in marriage to Benjamin Stickney on July 31, 1958 at the Episcopal Church in Milwaukie. They celebrated fifty-two years of life together and raised two boys. K. completed her Associates Degree at Highline in Seattle, WA,then bachlors degree in nursing at Concordia in Portland. OR and she worked in several of the Kaiser Hospitals. Afer she completed her Masters Degree at Portland State she worked at OHSU in the Neonatal Department until her retirement in the late 1990\u0027s. Among her personal interests she enjoyed bowling, oil painting and sewing. K and Ben moved to the Rose Villa Assisted Living six years ago where she had many friends and recieved great care. Survivors include her husband Ben of Milwaukie, Oregon, her two sons and a daughter in law; Bart Stickney of Happy Valley, Oregon and Bing and Helene Stickney of San Diego, California, her sister, Dagmar Eggleston, of Milwaukie, Oregon, also surviving are three grandchildren; Matt, Kara and Brooke Stickney of San Diego, California.
