Judith Elaine Gyanti was born September 25, 1945, in San Diego, CA to Victor and Margarite Love. She passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, in Clackamas, OR.
Growing up her family traveled for her father’s military service; she lived in San Diego, CA, New Hampshire, Louisiana, Johnston Island, Hawaii, England, Las Vegas, Germantown, PA, and Portland, OR. She married Jose (Joe) Gyanti on October 24, 1963.
Judy worked as an X-ray Technician and later a CAT Scan Technician for Kaiser Permanente, retiring in the early 2000s. After retirement, she worked for a few years as a contract relief worker and educator in rural towns as a CAT Scan Technician. She was one of the first female Vice Presidents for UFCW Local 555, a Historical Research Volunteer for the Oregon Historical Society, past President of the Young Lady’s Institute at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Milwaukie, OR, and past President of the Oak Grove Garden Club.
Judy was an avid woodworker and gardener. She loved her cats! Loved her family and holiday get-togethers. She very much enjoyed traveling throughout the world with her husband and collecting precious stones from each location, eventually having them made into a one-of-a-kind necklace and matching bracelet.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joe; son, John and spouse, Kathi; sisters, Kitty DiJulio and husband, Dick, and Marilyn Love; brother-in-law, Henry Gyanti and friend, Tina; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
