Joseph \u0026quot;Darby\u0026quot; M. Danforth was born in Westminster, Canada to Tom and Lucille Danforth. Darby spent his life in the Portland area. He attended St. Philip Neri Grade School, Graduated from Central Catholic High School, and then attended Portland State University. He also served in the U.S Army during the Korean War. Darby was a member of the Operating Engineers Union for 34 years and worked in road construction until his retirement in 1989. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Grace Danforth, Brothers ; Jack and Bill Danforth, Brother-In-Law; Alex Tarver, Sisters; Nancy Damrill and Pattie Cabiness. There are 4 nieces, 4 nephews, 1 great nephew, 1 great niece, and 2 great-great nephews. Private Services are being planned for later, with inurnment at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, OR."",
