John Marvin ""Jack"" Stennet

April 11, 1926 — January 23, 2014

Jack Stennet passed on Thursday, January 23rd. He was resting peacefully at home while thoroughly enjoying his loving family and watching the wild birds through a favorite picture window. Jack was born a bouncing baby boy to John and Josephine Stennet on April 11th, 1926 in Multnomah County as a second generation Native Oregonian. Jack leaves us with a long history of community service spending two years in the Army during the Korean War, advanced through the ranks serving 24 years with the Milwaukie fire department, and spent many hours on miscellaneous projects in his wood shop for groups such as the Prescott Bluebird Recovery, Boy Scouts of America, Northwest Steelheaders and neighbors. He was also very instrumental in other programs such as Toys for Tots and volunteered at Park Rose, North Clackamas, Canby and Gearhart fire departments. Jack is survived by Carol (lovely wife of 40 years), four children (John, Joe, Patty and Mollie), six grandchildren and two great granddaughters. For those who wish to, contributions may be made in honor of Jack to; \u0026quot;Tribute to Honor\u0026quot; at www.tributetohonor.wordpress.com "",
