Jessie "Lorraine" Stevens

May 5, 1936 — June 21, 2021

On June 21, 2021 Jessie "Lorraine" Stevens gently departed this earth in Milwaukie, OR, and joined her heavenly family, beloved husband, Errol "Steve" Bernard Stevens; son, Randall Sundblad; granddaughter, Amelia; and grandson, Drake. Her departure reminds us that the angels continue to watch over us. She was 85 years old and her family is heart-broken.

Lorraine was born May 5, 1936 in Iowa to a large family, the daughter of Jess and Gertrude Christie. From a young age, she learned to work very hard. She married the love of her life, "Steve", in 1977. Together they served faithfully in their church until he passed and they both considered the Tri-City Baptist Church family to be a part of their extended family. Lorraine always witnessed her faith, provided love to those around her and was a tireless support to her loved ones.

Lorraine is survived by her loving daughter, Sherry (Keith), who cared for her during her final journey. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tammy (Kevin), Shawnta (Jon), Shiloh (Heather), Alex (Marie), Eric and Earl. She cared deeply for her great-grandchildren, Eva, Savannah, Noah, Eden, Bethany, Samurai and Alex Jr. She also leaves behind her closest friends, Donna and Irene and Babe, her sweet dog, who was never far from her.

"For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers,

nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,

nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation,

will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

~ Romans 8:38-39
