Jeffrey Allen “Jeff” Stute, the youngest of three siblings, was born in Portland, OR on June 18, 1962, to Margie and Glenn Stute. He passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 61. Known as “Baker” while growing up in the Oak Grove area, Jeff later lived in various locations in Oregon, Washington, and Texas.
Jeff enjoyed being a dad, spending time with his family and man’s best friend, traveling, and cruising in his Jeep on summer days. He was an avid fan of the Portland Trail Blazers and was known to record all of their games and watch them after his workdays. It was only fitting that with his lifelong interest in cars, he would spend most of his career as a Finance Manager in the auto industry.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Glennard Stute and his adored family pet, Cooper.
He is survived by his beloved son, Jordan Glenn Stute; mother, Marjorie Stute; brother, Stephen Stute; sister, Glennda (Jim) Rumgay; niece, Stephanie Stute; nephews, Nicholas Stute, Matthew Rumgay, and Bradley Rumgay; three great nephews and two great nieces (with this group of nieces and nephews, there was never a dull moment at family functions, especially since Jeff was usually the ringleader). Jeff is also survived by several other family members and friends.
A private graveside service for the family will be held at Logan Pleasant View Cemetery in Oregon City. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. The family may be contacted for further details. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Jeff, please consider a donation to the Autism Society of Oregon or the Banfield Foundation.
Jeff will be deeply missed by many, as his kind heart, love for his family and sense of humor are irreplaceable.
